Assignment task: You have examined several different characteristics of communities and read about several different types of communities, including those affected by a disaster, faith-based communities, and the social support communities that concern health and social well-being.
Compare and contrast these different communities to the ones found in your own area, and discuss how you can use the different qualities of these communities to affect risk reduction identification and planning. Consider how the risks may vary between these "communities within a community" and how your intervention strategies might have to be altered to be accepted by each. How can you bring all these different communities together to promote and accept risk reduction planning and interventions?
