Communication Revolution:
It is in this background, that communication revolution is being ushered in ou: country. In the recent years, the rural people who have access to TV viewing, might have seen on the TV screen, Doordarshan's coverage of landing of man on the Moon. They are all too familiar with the Doordarshan's simultaneous transmission of national events like the Independence Day and Republic Day celebrations, i.e., they are watching the programme, at the same time, as the events are taking place in the national capital. But the viewers are scarcely aware of the transmission mode through satellite which makes such a thing possible.
