Communication path or multiple paths
There has to be a communication path or multiple paths for data travel in order for communication to work in a network. Information flows from one place to another and back using these paths. This is also know as switching.
In 4-5 paragraphs, complete the following:
- Compare and contrast the three types of switching methods: store-and-forward, cut-through, and fragment-free.
- Explain a situation in which each of these switching methods would be used.
- Explain why Spanning-tree Protocol (STP) is important in switching.
