Three classes, the Polychaeta, Oligochaeta and Hirudinea, will be examined. Class Polychaeta Members are marine. Polychaetes have lateral, fleshy parapodia beset with numerous setae, and well developed head appendages such as jaws, tentacles and eyes. What function(s) do you think parapodia serve?
