Class, does this give a competitive advantage to newer companies and those that are more "nimble" with their MIS and IT?
Just picture Uber, with no ownership of taxis, replacing Yellow Taxi Cab in San Francisco because of their ability to service their customers more effectively and efficiently. Similarly, AirBnb books more rooms daily than any other company in the hospitality industry.
Does this speak to managing data timely (maybe by minute in some industries) in order to be profitable (or stay in business)?
