Claim that this portion of the book stops

Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn has been criticized for its ending (from then point when Tom Sawyer shows up at his aunt's farm to the novel's conclusion). Many critics claim that this portion of the book stops the ongoing moral development that Huck has had to undergo during the course of the novel and he becomes a side character as Tom dominates. Do you agree with the critics or not? If you do agree, explain why using examples from the novel. If not, then explain why not.
