Chronic diseases affect different segments of society disproportionately because of the lack of collective action people in the communities take toward reducing health disparities. Family tradition and cultural environment has a lot to do with the exercise and eating habits a person has. People who have the ability to afford healthier foods will have the tendency to live longer and healthier than those who do not have that ability. Education has a lot to do with the health disparities as well. Society as a whole can reduce these disparities by coming together as a community to bring about change. Every culture has something unique that it brings to the table to help with this issue. Be it from a dietary perspective or an exercise perspective, nothings going to matriculate from the situation as long as people keep quiet about the matter.
