Managing and Leading Change
Guidelines for Writing Article Critique
Word limit: 800 (minimum) to 880 (maximum) words.
Introduction: (100-120 words)
Should include the following
- A brief profile of the article (summary of the idea of the author about change and how it is to be implemented)
- Objectives of article being critiqued ( refer to the tasks required for the article)
II. Analysis: ( 660 words)
Should include the following.
a. Choose theories/concepts of change that are applicable to the article; theory/concept of change that will support the idea of the author about change and its implementation
b. Strength and Weaknesses of authors opinion.
o With the aid of the diagram or supporting views, discuss the concepts of change model applicable to the article and the context of organizational change;
o Based on the given knowledge, critically examine the article's change capabilities which relates to its reasons for change as an advantage.
c Implementation of Change
o Discuss your own point of view on how change can be implemented based on your evaluation.
o Relate your discussion to any of the theoretical models of change as the company in the article continues to improve.
Conclusion:
Should include the following:
- Summary of the major highlights or points of the article
- The learning received in relation to the objective of article critiquing. IV. References (Minimum of 15 from varied other sources)
