The essay brainstorm post gets you thinking about your topic in a more concrete way. This honestly doesn't have to be too in-depth or polished-it could even be more stream-of-consciousness style. This blackboard post consists of three parts:
1) List three subjects that you could make into a Public Awareness Persuasive essay. They should be lesser-known topics that will appeal to a general academic audience.
2) Choose the two most promising and write at least 100 words (a healthy paragraph) about each of them. What's interesting about each of them? What would be the pros and cons of choosing them? For example, if you choose planking and synthetic hydrophobic sprays, you would talk about what you like about each idea, and what difficulties each would pose.
3) Choose the more promising of the two, and write another 100 words describing what aspects of the topic you're planning on focusing on. Essentially, you're recording and commenting on ways you might look at whatever you've chosen and why it might lend itself to this kind of essay
