The website I chose is Internet Movie Database (IMDb). This website's goal is to be the number one movie data site to its followers and increase membership and sales for Amazon.com. The content will include cast, production crew, fictional characters, biographies, plot summaries, trivia and review. IMDb does editing whenever new material needs added, when edit request are made, and allows members to add their own material as well. They have enhanced the design only slightly over the last decade to coincide with their parent company, Amazon.com. IMDb increased their interactiveness by adding their most recent service which allows movie professionals to add their résumés when they subscribe to IMDb Pro. They track user activity through their message boards, movie rating by the users, and visitor clicks. Amazon.com has their own IT department that is responsible for the site and validating the content even when it is volunteered by the public.

Amazon.com already has a big grasp on social media networks. They are taking further advantage of sites, such as Facebook, by promoting not only their sales on the news feeds and sponsor links but, also, they are promoting their subsidiaries, such as IMDb, as well. Honestly, I believe this type of advertising is helping Amazon.com and its subsidiaries by getting peoples' attention and has good links that provide easy transition from the social media to the precise webpage.
