Assignment Task - Writing the Research Paper
a. Choose one of the following companies: Starbucks, Google or Whole Foods Corporation. Examine the organization's leadership culture, team structure, and human resource strategy. Some of those human resource strategies could include compensation system, training, benefits, or leadership development structure. Describe how the leadership culture, team structure, and human resource strategies attempt to provide an engaging environment for employees.
b. Analyze the effectiveness of the above systems in providing a motivating, employee-engaged organization. Be sure to relate your assessment to concepts presented in the course readings. Do the human resource strategy and leadership culture provide an environment in which the employees in that organization, are fully involved in the success of the enterprise?
c. Acting as an internal or external consultant, analyze and make recommendations to enhance, redesign, or improve, ineffective systems. If you believe all of their systems are functioning at a high level, explain why. Support your opinion by incorporating examples from the course readings and other external references. Use both the Persuasive Leader and Influencer in your discussion along with at least 6 to 8 pertinent peer-reviewed journal articles. In addition to these, you may also include news and magazine articles where relevant.
