Question: PHYSICAL GROWTH
Choose any ONE of the following physical aspects of human ability. Brain developmentMotor skills (gross and fine)Sensory skills (vision, auditory, etc.) Be sure to identify which one you chose. You may believe human development is perfect as it is, or you may have ideas of how you would do it differently if you were able. For this discussion, imagine that you are given the task of genetically engineering the next human being in your chosen area of physical development. Of course, we might have come concerns over "playing God" but assume there are no moral or ethical concerns in doing so. Using the concepts of physical development across the lifespan, how would you engineer your human? Would you make physical development in your area fully developed at birth, or to develop across the lifespan? In what other ways would you engineer your human to develop? It may be that you would not do anything different that the way things are now. If so, explain why by discussing your knowledge of development in your chosen area. (Note if you choose this option, do not simply state you agree with how things are, or you believe God did it right the first time. Explain WHY the way it is now is best if that is your choice.)
