There is a formal scholarly research paper where your work throughout the term can come together and where you can delve deeper into issues and concerns of gender and globalization. Choose a topic of interest that we have discussed in class or that directly relates to class conversations and readings. For this paper, your research skills will come in to play, because you are asked to incorporate three new sources outside of class readings. These sources need to be academic books and peer-reviewed scholarly journals. You may use newspaper articles (found electronically or in print) only once as a source.
YouTube, Wikipedia, Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, blogs, personal websites, Twitter, Facebook, etc. are not accepted as sources for this paper. An exception to this, is if you are discussing specific media and its relationship to globalization and gender. My topic is :Women in the workplace in the third world (industry), but you have to make your thesis statement more specific: which women are you talking about? Which geographic location or moment in time are you interested it. You have to use 6 sources.
