Research Paper Instructions
STEP 1: Choose a Research topic from our textbook or from the New York Times' Science Section on Tuesdays (available at https://www.nytimes.com).
- This research topic must be approved by your professor in advance.
- Please communicate early in the term with your professor if you would like to work on a Research Paper.
STEP 2: Please write your report using Microsoft Word.
STEP 3: Your documentation in your reports should be referenced. View Research Report Rubric
STEP 4: Please use the American Psychological Association (APA) style writing format for referencing your sources.
- Reference Librarians at each campus of the college can also help you with this.
- Recommended website: Purdue University Online Writing Lab.
STEP 5: Please use your text and at least two outside sources to document your reports. STEP 6: Please submit your research paper to the Research Paper Dropbox as an attachment. STEP 7: Then post your research paper in the Discussion Board.
- Please post your research papers to the Discussion Board.
- This will ensure you receive credit.
- Please also use this discussion board to respond to the material presented in at least two of the Research Paper.
- It is important that you do not send this material to me via e-mail or other means.
- Material posted to the Discussion Board can be compiled at the end of the term.
