Assignment:
This a two-part assignment. Students will produce a research document about their assigned pathogen to share with their peers covering the following points:
1. Morphologic characteristics of the pathogen Including virulent factors. (Morphological and physiological characteristics of these pathogens such as shape, size, virulent factors etc.)
2. Epidemiological data related to the pathogen.
(Resent outbreaks, transmission method, ports of entry to the host does the pathogen have a reservoir was is the endemic area of the pathogen (Where when and how)
3. Disease cause by the pathogen. (Disease presentation, symptoms, duration of the disease etc.)
4. Treatments available for the disease caused by this pathogen.
(Not only mention the treatment but also discuss how the treatments work such as mechanism of actions of the of the antibiotic or antiviral used in the treatment)
5. Reference (At least 5 reference)
The document should be written using Times New Roman font, size 12, single spaced, no more than two pages long. This document must be submitted through the Blackboard discussion board "Research Project Summer 2021". Once you have posted your thread including this document, you are required to comment on the work of two of your peers. Please use your best judgement when commenting on other students' work.
