Change initiator
To meet the initial requirements for a Request for change (RFC), the change initiator is the person who initially perceives for the change, develops, plans and executes the steps necessary. However a change should only be initiated when it has a valid reason for implementation.
Some examples of change initiators are:
- A product manager in a line of business wanting for a new or changed feature on an application.
- A security manager requesting a configuration and documentation change in reply to a newly discovered vulnerability.
