Chymotrypsin was able to hydrolyze the substrate N-benzoyl-L-tyrosine ethyl ester (BTEE) however not capable to hydrolyze the substrate p-toluene sulphonyyl-L-arginine methyl ester (TAME).
Though the enzyme Trypsin was capable to hydrolyze both TAME and BTEE substrates and I was wondering why? And why/ what makes chymotrypsin so much more precise??
