Cantilever beam-slope and deflection

Q1. A cantilever beam is 6 m long and consists of a point load of 20 KN at free end. The flexural stiffness is 110 MNm2. Compute the slope and deflection at free end.

Q2. A cantilever is 6 m long with UDL of 1KN/m. The flexural stiffness is 100MNm2. Compute the slope and deflection at free end.

Q3. A cantilever beam is 5 m long and consists of a point load of 50 KN at the free end. The deflection at free end is 3 mm downwards. The modulus of elasticity is 205GPa. The beam consists of a solid rectangular part with a depth 3 times the width (D = 3B). Find out:

a) The flexural stiffness
b) The dimensions of the section.

Q4. A cantilever beam is 5 m long and carries a UDL of 8KN/m. The modulus of elasticity is 205GPa and the beam is a solid circular section. Compute:

a) The flexural stiffness that limits the deflection to 3 mm at the free end.
b) The diameter of beam.

Q5. A simply supported beam is 4 m long and consists of a load of 200 KN at the middle. The flexural stiffness is 300 MNm2. Compute the slope at the ends and deflection at the middle.
