Can you please explain this quote for me: "We took away your art because we thought it would reveal your souls. Or to put it more finely, we did it to prove you had souls at all"? Does it mean that the professors/adults wanted to remove anything from sight (artwork) that would remind them that these children (aka. organ donors) were real humans with real souls? Or is it something deeper?
And also, what would you say Never Let Me Go has to say about the nature of humankind in general? It's dystopian fiction for sure, but do you think it has some hints of hope for humankind as well?
