Discussion Post: Justice Ethics
On a different topic, our lesson presents the leadership Ethic of Care and the Leadership Ethic of Justice. In any role for a DNP-prepared nursing leader, demonstrating the Care Ethic (much like the Work Ethic) communicates the professional identity of that DNP leader. The behaviors and the attitudes of a DNP nurse leading from an Ethic of Care are those that generate trust, security, empowerment, and motivation. There are times, however, when the DNP-prepared leader must operate from a position of Justice Ethics. Can you describe what you believe that would look like?
