Show a clear, dimensioned FBD for the 2x10 rafters. For the 2x10 rafters calculate the peak moment in units of ft. lb. For the 4x10 roof beam, assume the 4x10 roof beam is pinned to the subsequent 10ft section over each of the interior 4x4 columns. Note that you must calculate the height of the short bearing wall to account for its self weight. Calculate the peak bending moment for the 4x10 roof beam. Then draw a clear dimensioned FBD for the two exterior bearing walls above the floor joists, no moment calcs here. Draw FBD's for the simply supported 2x10 floor joists and identify the peak moments in units of ft. lb. Draw a FBD for the 6x10 floor beam assuming it is pinned to the subsequent 10ft 6x10 floor beam over the 6x6 posts. Calculate the reactions on an exterior and on a typical interior 6x6 post and calculate the typical peak bending moments in the 6x10 floor beams in units of ft. lb. Check whether or not the bearing pressure at each of the continuous concrete footings is less than or greater than the allowable pressure at 2000 psf. Calculate the actual pressure experienced.
