Assignment Task: (Design/Analysis of Concrete Members):

Problem 1: The figure below shows the cross-section of a reinforced concrete section. Calculate the moment of resistance (Mr) and the shear resistance (Vr) of the section. Use f'c = 25 MPa and fy = 350 MPa.

Problem 2: A 350x350 tied column of square cross-section is reinforced with loM ties. Use a 40 mm clear cover to the ties. Design the required longitudinal reinforcement for the following conditions (Use fc'= 35 MPa and fy = 350 MP):

1- Pf = 1500 kN and M = 80 kN.m

2- Pf = 400 kN and M = 150 kN.m

3- Pf = 2200 kN and M = 80 kN.m

4- Pf = 1500 kN and M = 40 kN.m

Discuss the effects of the axial load and bending moment increase on the results.

Problem 3: Design the beam in the figure below using reinforced concrete construction. Use a rectangular cross-section and show the profiles of the reinforcing steel for both moment and shear (Use fc' = 35 MPa and fy = 400 MP):
