Calculate the flaw in the students reasoning and conclusion


A sample which is having 5.00 kg of metal A was heated by burning the 1.00 g of propane in oxygen, and the temperature of the metal was elevated by the 22.72degrees C. In a separate experiment, a 5.00 kg sample of metal B was elevated by the 42.55 degrees Celsius.

When the substance is heated the amount of heat absorbed by a substance is proportional to the temperature change. Since metal b is heated to a higher temperature than metal A, it must absorb more heat. Since both metals were heated with the same amount of propane, B must therefore have a greater capacity to absorb more heat from the reaction, so B must have a greater heat capacity than A.

Calculate the flaw in the student's reasoning and conclusion, being sure to point out both determine the correct and what is incorrect. Correct the flaws to demonstrate the correct reasoning and conclusion.
