Develop, from first principles, a process equation for a wire extrusion operation for producing round copper cable. Make any valid assumptions and show that the ram pressure is a function of the process equation you have developed. Calculate the (i) ram pressure and (ii) die pressure for a round copper bar with an original cross-sectional area of 12.56 mm2 to a 50% reduction of area, given that the included die angle is 30 degree with a coefficient of friction (mu) of 0.07 and the yield stress for copper is 350 MPa.
