Topic : Suspension Kinematics modelling in Matlab/Simulink
Main tools for the project: Matlab/Simulink, Carmaker/IPGkinematics
Description:
1. Build suspension kinematics modelling based on the existing vehicle in Matlab.
- geometry information is provided by co-working company
- Already finished on Matlab by myself, but needs to be validation with Carmaker/IPGkinematics (optional)
2. 14 D.O.F vehicle modelling with driving manoeuvres in Simulink
- object : determine suspension kinematics' influence on the vehicle behaviours, tyre lateral force, lateral acceleration, yaw rate, etc, especially cornering conditions. (ramp steer, single lane change, slalom tests)
- the model is already made by myself, but only one manoeuvre, ramp steer test, is made in simulink.
- need to validate with carmaker model. The carmaker model is provided from co-working company, but I failed to make same manoeuvres with Simulink.
- if it is necessary, the Simulink model has to be corrected/modified to minimise errors with carmaker.
+ the model using Pacejka's magic formula 5.2 for the tyre model. So, it would be better if you write a separated chapter about tyre model with suspension kinematics, camber effect.
3. writing thesis
- maximum words of the thesis is 15,000 words, and I've already wrote 7,000 words.
- needs to write abstract, conclusions and results based on the result of the vehicle test simulations.
