Activity 1.1
1. Summarise your organisation's work processes. Include the most important tasks and activities that are linked to producing and delivering your particular products or services.
2. Highlight the digital applications that are currently available and used within your organisation. What applications do you have access to? What applications assist you in your work processes?

1. Consider your workplace's operations. Give an example of a type of digital information that you may need to use as an integral part of all/one of these operations.
2. Your next task is to locate this information. Explain how you did this.
3. Now, explain how you would use this within your workplace's operations.

1. If you were to assess the validity and reliability of an information source, what questions would you ask yourself?
Now, refer back to the previous activity (activity 1.2).

Review this source for its validity and reliability, answering your questions from above.

1. Choose a piece of digital information that you may be required to create as part of your role. Outline how you would store this appropriately. What would you name your file?
2. Outline the steps involved in retrieving this information.

1. Think about your own workplace and the digital technology that would be relevant to it. Review current and emerging trends and innovations related to this digital technology, using the internet. Summarise your findings here.
