Briefly identify and discuss the six techniques for managing safety and security risks. After discussing these, consider this fact, from 1995 to 2010, the Joint Commission recorded over 6500 sentinel events in US hospitals (Kavaler & Alexander, 2014). The most common events were wrong-side surgery, suicide, postoperative complications, delay in treatment, and medical errors (Kavaler & Alexander, 2014). Select one of these events and discuss how you would use any 2 of the six techniques to manage it. Be sure to thoroughly explain how the tools would be used.
The 4-5 page document should be prepared consistent with the APA writing style (6th edition) and reflect higher level cognitive processing (analysis, synthesis and or evaluation).
