Homework: Service Operations
Sometimes critiquing other businesses is a great way to develop ideas to create/improve others. Choose a service business (a business that primarily sells a service) and use it (e.g., online order and delivery) or you could have visited it within the last couple of months - it MUST be somewhat recent AND a service business. If you are unsure of a good example, ask! Do NOT use a business that primarily sells goods, like a retail store or online business that sells clothes, groceries, electronics, etc. (so not Amazon or a grocery store) - it will be difficult to identify the assignment criteria.
A. Briefly and clearly describe the service through the service package: the facility, facilitating goods, information, explicit services and implicit services.
B. Map and describe the supply chain for this service and its delivery.
C. Analyze all of the quality aspects of the service delivery we discussed in class. What appeared to be done well versus needed improvement with respect to managing the service and its supply chain?
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
a. The answer must be double spaced, typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
b. The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the course title, the student's name, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
c. Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
