Bio-medical waste management
Persons coming in contact with bio-medical waste are prone to get injury from sharps likes needles. Injury due to sharps leads to life threatening conditions like HIV, Hepatitis B and C.
Florence Nightingale, in 1860, said "Health care facilities should do no harm to sick." It is the moral responsibility of all health care institutions to ensure proper disposal of bio-medical waste, to ensure safety to the patients, visitors and staff taking care of sick.
