Bill Myer was riding a bicycle down Wentworth Avenue, on the sidewalk, at about midnight that night. He was in a hurry because his wife threatened him that if he wasn’t home before 12:30am she would divorce him. Bill did not have a headlight. Bill didn’t notice the boards across the sidewalk and ran into them. He fell off his bicycle. Bill had “brittle bone disease”, a condition that makes bones abnormally brittle.
