Assignment Task: Responds to this discussion post: Belief perseverance can be seen when voters attempt to defend behaviors or poor actions of political figures because they are apart of a respective party. For example, I'm sure many of us have seen the videos on social media, Jimmy Kimmel's show did a social 'experiment' by asking for Trump supporters' opinions on actions Biden has done. Out of the supporters that were shown, a negative review on Biden was typically given. The interviewer would admit their "mistake" and ask the same question using Trump's name instead. Supporters would then defend the behavior/action as if it was the first time being asked the question. In this example, the supporters showed belief perseverance by defending a behavior/action engaged in by Trump, even when they reported poorly on the behavior/action when they believed the same behavior/action was engaged in by Biden. Equal actions tend to be viewed differently based on bias.
