At a bank, the service area with two tellers can be designed in two ways:
1. A single line, with the person at the head of the line moving to the next available teller, both tellers serving this line.
2. Two separate lines, far apart so that one does not switch lines after joining one, with one teller serving one line (and the other teller serving the other line). Discuss the advantage of each.
(Preferably include some quantitative results. Assume arrival rate of customers to be 10 per hour - so if they split into two lines, each line has an arrival rate of 5 per hour. Assume each teller to be able to handle 6 customers per hour. The waiting space is infinite)
