Course of Action (COA) what are the possible solutions to the problem? Develop several alternative solutions, with the pros and cons of each. Then compare and contrast, or war game the solutions to determine which COA will provide the best solution for the current situation. The first solution is always, "Do Nothing" as leaving the status quo in place is a COA, what would happen if the organization leaves the situation as is? Then start listing alternate solutions.
