Assessment of the multicultural seminar

Assignment task: A short evaluation of this particular assessment of the multicultural seminar:

Trends and progression of multicultural management have evolved to support development and opportunity for a diverse workforce. Multicultural management research explores various aspects of managing diverse teams and organizations with members from different cultural backgrounds. Multicultural management involves looking at how businesses consider diversity when developing strategic plans and making business decisions (Mughal et al., 2023). Managing a business from a multicultural lens is vital in developing an inclusive and equitable workplace culture (Lilli, 2023). Multicultural business management within nonprofit settings was an area of research that offered additional knowledge about the topic.

My doctoral study focuses on researching strategies nonprofit leaders use to retain employees. Multicultural business management is a broad topic and encompasses diversity, equity, and inclusive practices that nonprofit businesses employ. Effective multicultural management contains a component that leaders must value diversity and seek opportunities to grow their business in this area (Xu et al., 2023). Leaders with a multicultural business lens have significantly contributed to advancing social justice, equality, and the rights of marginalized communities, leaving a lasting impact on their respective societies and the world. These practices give back to the community and build awareness of a more inclusive world.

Many of the articles I have read in this seminar have added to my general knowledge of multicultural business management and its importance in business culture. The subject of inclusive leadership added necessary and insightful knowledge that will inform my study. The idea that inclusive leaders are essential to enhancing inclusive workplace culture was a vital piece of knowledge (Li et al., 2023). In the articles I read in this course, I learned that multicultural business management interconnects with many different aspects of business and can advance ethical considerations (Villagran et al., 2023). The articles advance my knowledge in all aspects of multicultural business development.

This seminar offered many benefits in my development as a scholar and student. I was exposed to many new articles and posts from classmates that challenged my current thinking. These various references and ideas advanced my thinking and prompted me to research this topic further. I was able to research topics I was unfamiliar with and found fascinating. The research we conducted and the discussion we had filled gaps in knowledge that could be essential for advancement in multicultural business management.
