Assess what project scope planning is as a process

Assignment:

You will need to research and identify a project of your choosing (examples - house painting, renovation of a kitchen, new business IT system, etc.) that will be the central example in the completion of this and future assignments throughout this course. The first step in your process once a project has been selected will be the development of a scope statement. The scope statement describes the project and outlines project goals that need to be met in order to be successful.

Once a project has been identified you will be required to build scope statement that will include the objective of the project, goals, a clear description of the project and any related tasks that need to be accomplished. Ensure the project selected is easily accessible to you; if you have the opportunity, converse with a real-world project manager regarding your project, ideas, and actions.

In a paper, explain and assess what project scope planning is as a process and how you plan to implement the process for your chosen project. Include in your explanation the scope statement, consideration of Life-Cycle Phases and participant roles. Indicate why you believe plans fail and justify the importance of a project charter in the project scope planning process.

Support your paper with a minimum of three (3) external resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including older articles, may be included.

Create a 6 to 7 pages not including title and reference pages

Response should demonstrate thoughtful consideration of the ideas and concepts presented in the course and provide new thoughts and insights relating directly to this topic. Your response should reflect scholarly writing and current APA standards
