Problem:
A 'jackpot' arises when a mutation occurs by chance early in the growth of the culture and then replicates to give an unusually high incidence in the final culture. If a 'jackpot' was observed for a particular individual culture on, for example, the Rif plate, would you also expect to see a jackpot on the other two plates? Bear in mind that this is referring to a practical which aims to assess the DNA mutation, repair and damage and antibiotic resistance in samples.
