As the Chief of Police, one of your administrative clerks, through your "open door" policy, made a complaint that a sergeant in the Criminal Investigation Division, a married man, is having an affair with a female officer in the patrol division, who is single. The sergeant lives in the community, has three small children, and there have been no indications that he has or had any marital problems. Shortly after her arrival, the female officer and the administrative clerk had been out together on at least one date but apparently the relationship did not progress beyond that. The admin clerk tells you that he has observed the sergeant go into and out of the female officer's apartment on at least 20 occasions during working hours and at night, to include several times in the early hours of the morning. The clerk wants to know what you intend to do about this obviously adulterous situation.
