Problem: In my opinion, Gary Cordner (1995) does the best job of articulating what community policing actually is. Although many people throw around this term, very few people understand what is involved in community policing. I would like you to summarize the three dimensions of community policing as articulated by Cordner (1995). Each dimension should have at least a two paragraph explanation. After you summarize, please explain the current state of what is known about the impacts of community policing on (1) crime, (2) fear of crime, and (3) citizen satisfaction with police using the Gill et al. (2014) article as a guide. You should explain the effects of each of the three variables in a paragraph each. Finally, please tell the class whether your opinions of community policing changed from before to after having done the readings, as well as why your opinions did (or did not) change.
