Since the work in the periodicals Department involves estimating and accounting, including conversion of foreign currencies, there should be people with a flair for working with figures and people who understand the foreign exchange regulations and formalities. The staff in the department should be headed by a senior, professional librarian who is well acquainted with the vagaries of periodical publications.
