Choose a platform to create a blog. You may use any of the following platforms to create a blog:
Edublogs
WordPress, located in the Technology Resource Library on the College of Education Resources page
Platforms recommended in Ch. 3, of Blogs, wikis, podcasts, and other powerful web tools for classrooms
A blogging platform of your choice that is approved by your faculty member
Create a blog about children's literature.
Write a 175- to 350-word blog post about a favorite book that you read as a child. Think about your audience.
Consider the following:
Are you recommending this book to parents of children in your class?
Are you sharing your book with students, thinking they will read the blog and decide to read your favorite book?
Are you blogging for readers who read children's literature for fun?
Include the following:
A statement of who your audience is
A brief summary of the book (no spoilers)
Why it is your favorite book
Connections based on course content or grade level
