As Costar points out, our electoral system is unusual in that it requires everyone to vote (or at least attend a polling station), and it commonly requires us to rank all the candidates, including the ones we don't like. In your view, is this better or worse as a means of expressing the people's will than the voluntary, first-past-the-post system of countries like England and the United States?
