Are the sources cited in the article believable/credible

Assignment task:

Rationale: Life in the digital information age means that we are constantly being bombarded with information from a variety of internet/media sources. Unfortunately, not all sources provide reliable, scientifically accurate information and according to research (Breakstone et. al., 2019) most students accept information from the internet at face value without critically evaluating the source of the information. Psychology can help you hone your critical thinking skills so you can become a more responsible consumer of information. This assignment will ask students to practice applying the three-step model of critical thinking presented in the text. Instructions: Begin by reviewing section 1.3 (pp. 9-13) in your textbook. Then, read Being a Critical Consumer_ch01.pdf After you have read the linked article answer the 4 questions below: 1) Are the sources cited in the article believable/credible? Which sources are credible? Which ones are not credible? 2) Is there strong evidence for the claim? What it is? 3) Do other believable/credible sources agree about the claim (you may need to do some additional internet research to address this point). 4) The results summarized in the article are based on correlational studies. Why is this problematic?
