GROUP RESEARCH & PRESENTATION - ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN & SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainable architecture seeks to minimize the negative environmental impact of buildings by efficiency and moderation in the use of materials, water, energy, etc. Sustainable architecture uses a conscious approach to energy and ecological conservation in the design of the built environment. The idea of sustainability is to ensure that our actions and decisions today do not inhibit the opportunities of future generations.
Student presentation is an assignment provided to enable students perform and deliver the outcomes of research done on the subjects covered during the course. Students are given the flexibility to select alternative subjects only if compatible with the course outline and the theme of construction materials.
Various key graduate capabilities profiles outlined by AUT in the respective course descriptor will be engaged in this assignment (1-10). The students will work in teams and collaborate in developing knowledge in view to the outlined topics, understand application principles of the subject of study and practice outcome delivery in both oral and written format.
