Confidence interval and Hypothesis Testing for proportion.
A politician is considering supporting a new policy but will only do so if it is popular with more than 60 percent of the electorate. A survey of the electorate is conducted, with 1200 individuals sampled, of which 750 supported the new policy.
Required:
1.approximation the 95 percent confidence interval for the proportion of the electorate that support this policy
2.Given the politician requirement to support the policy, use a 5 percent significance test to demonstrate whether or not he/she must support it.
