Most people are dominant on one side of their body - either right or left. In baseball, a batter than can hit either right or left-handed is called a switch hitter. To determine if there is a difference in strength between the dominant and non-dominant sides, a random sample of 19 switch-hitters were tested to see if there was a difference in the longest distance they hit from either the right or left side. The data showed there was a mean difference of 25.1 feet, with a standard deviation of 2.31 feet.
1) Does this sample show there's a difference of distance? Test an appropriate hypothesis and state the conclusion.
