Controls involuntary actions as heart beat, breathing, homeostasis, peristalasis secretion of glands.

Internal organ receive fibres fron 2 sources - sensory & motor.

Nerve of sensory region is originated from dorsal root and nerve of motor region is originated from ventral root.

Visceral motor fibres are divided into 2 parts -

1. Preganglionic - Medullated (white matter)

2. Postganglionic - Non-Medullated (grey matter)
