Problem
• In the first paragraph, narrate the argument of the free write exercise descriptively, as a scene. Be as concrete as possible. Use dialogue possibly. Feel free to change the names of the people involved (to create anonymity, if you want to do that). Describe the resolution (or lack thereof).
• In the second paragraph, analyze the use of ethos, pathos, and logos. How were emotions called up and how was the logic used? Was there a balance of feeling and logical points? How was the tone used and what specific words had weight in the argument? What made the argument come into being and what ended it? Who had more credibility in terms of the issues addressed and did this influence the outcome of the argument?
