Problem: Give your thoughts about my classmate's comments.

1. It is really interesting to see and analyze the progress of the industrial revolution of urban areas over the years especially how the urban population continues to increase possibly because of the migration of people from rural areas and into urban areas. I also find it quite interesting that some rural areas remain conservative in today's society where urbanization and industrialization is promoted and pursued.

2. This states that the movement of people to the biggest cities such as Sao Paulo and Mexico City slowed down in the 1980s but continued in ones that were medium-sized. This also explains that countries experienced difficulties with urbanization that has been fast for decades. Learning about this surprised me because I didn't know that in the 1980s, the movement of people to medium-sized cities continued while it slowed down in large ones.

3. When speaking to other hispanics, we notice a couple things in common when talking about our relatives in Latin American countries. Our grandparents have fincas and ranchos. Our aunts and uncles have stores and no that into owning land for agriculture. My grandfather used to grow lots of crops and sold them but people started moving out of the rural cities into the urban cities. This caused him and other people to loose their form of making money. The older generation specifically have a harder time adapting to these type of changes.
