Choose ONE of the following items, analyze the conductive argument, reconstruct it into standard form, and test it for cogency. Does it violate any of the ARG conditions? Explain why or why it is not cogent in three to six sentences.
A. Susan must be angry with Norm because she persistently refuses to talk to him, and she goes out of her way to avoid him. Even though she used to be his best friend, and even though she still spends a lot of time with his mother, she must be really annoyed with him right now.
B. There is no point in giving money to charity. Some charitable organizations waste it. Besides, when people are needy, governments should support them and not rely on charity to do it. Furthermore, the advertisements put out by some of these charities are so emotional that they are positively manipulative.
C. Conflicts cannot be solved with violence because violence leaves people resentful and angry. Besides, conflicts have causes, and those causes are not addressed by killing and injuring people.
