Analyze the concept of "Border Syndrome" in A Short Border Handbook as a literary metaphor rooted in individual experiences but also in historical and political realities, past and present. Refer to specific examples (excerpts, characters, literary devices etc.) from the novel to illustrate your analysis. Students can make brief or extensive references to the content, plot, or structure of the book and analyze especially the ways these literary elements and choices convey, relate, or serve the main narrative about "Border Syndrome".
